Your Privacy Choices
Effective date: April 19, 2026
You have meaningful control over the personal information Chapter II Coffee holds about you. This page explains your rights, how to exercise them in the app and by email, and what to expect from us in return.
Your rights
We honor the following rights for anyone who uses the Chapter II Coffee app, regardless of where you live:
- Right to know — request a summary of what information we hold about you and how it has been used.
- Right to access — request a copy of the personal data associated with your account.
- Right to correct — update contact information that is inaccurate or out of date.
- Right to delete — permanently remove your account and the personal data linked to it.
- Right to portability — receive your order history in a readable, machine-portable format.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing — already guaranteed for all users. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is nothing to opt out of.
- Right to non-discrimination — exercising any of these rights will never change the price, quality, or availability of your service with us.
How to exercise these rights
Most choices are available directly in the app:
- Update your name or phone number — Account → Edit profile.
- Clear order history — Account → Clear order history. Past orders are removed from your view in the app; your account, saved payment methods, and future orders are unaffected.
- Delete your account — Account → Delete account. Permanently removes your profile, saved payment methods, and push notification registrations. Anonymized order records may be retained for tax, accounting, and accounting-integrity purposes.
For requests the app does not handle directly — access summaries, data portability exports, or corrections we cannot make for you — email support@chapteriicoffee.co with a description of your request. We will verify your identity by confirming ownership of the email address or phone number on file for the account before fulfilling any request.
Response process
We acknowledge privacy requests within 10 days and resolve them within 45 days, consistent with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and comparable state laws. If a request requires more time, we will tell you why and when to expect a response. There is no cost to exercise these rights.
Sensitive information
We do not collect or process information classified as "sensitive personal information" under California law — no precise geolocation, no biometrics, no health data, no race or ethnicity, no religious beliefs, no union membership. The data we do collect — contact information, order history, and tokenized payment credentials — is the minimum needed to take and fulfill your order.
Authorized agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. The agent must provide signed permission from you, and we may verify your identity directly before fulfilling any request submitted through an agent.
Children
The Chapter II Coffee app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information can email us and we will remove it.
